Useful Information On Applying For A Poor Credit House Loan

What if you have chosen to obtain a house loan despite poor credit? What would you do to boost your possibilities of getting an approval to get the best value? Consider these guidelines when getting a bad credit mortgage loan.

  1. Prepare for the down payment.
  2. Compare bad credit home loans
  3. Clean up your credit before you apply. Make sure all information is accurate.
  4. Negotiate with past due creditors BEFORE you apply. Once a creditor sees you are applying for a mortgage they are less likely to negotiate a lower price.
  5. As soon as your credit score improves, refinancing your mortgage loan is a great way to enjoy a lower interest rate and to reduce your monthly loan cost.

How Do Mortgage Loans For Bad Credit Work

Instead of entering into mortgage loans for bad credit, borrowers should first engage in credit repair strategies. Improving FICO scores and building a solid credit history will save borrowers thousands of dollars in interest and lessen the potential to lose the property to foreclosure.

If both parties want low rates on student loans, why the fight?

Who's playing politics on student loans? Answer: everybody.

On July 1, interest rates on federally subsidized Stafford student loans, held by 7.4 million Americans, will double from 3.4 percent to 6.8 percent.

A little background: Last week, Democrats figured the pending rise in student loan rates would be an excellent way to needle Republicans and rouse a key constituency: young voters (and perhaps their tuition-paying parents, too). Democrats figured that Republicans would blanch at spending the $6 billion it would take to extend the lower loan rate for another year. Moreover, they could again score points off one of their big bogeymen – the House budget authored by Rep. Paul Ryan (R) of Wisconsin, which did not extend past July 1 the lower rate on student loans.

U.S. Eximbank not "corporate welfare" - GE's Immelt

(Reuters) - General Electric Chief Executive Jeffrey Immelt on Monday defended the U.S. Export-Import Bank against charges the export-facilitating lender is "corporate welfare" and should be shut down.

"It's not really corporate welfare to put us on the same playing field that our global competitors are on," Immelt said during a panel discussion on the future of American manufacturing with Boeing Chairman Jim McNerney and Dow Chemical Chairman Andrew Liveris.

The Export-Import Bank is facing a tough reauthorization fight in Congress.

Immelt, who also heads an outside economic advisory council for President Barack Obama, said the United States needed the nearly 80-year-old bank to compete against the European Union and China in global markets for aircraft and other products.

Bank earnings hit highest level in 4 years

WASHINGTON – Bank earnings rose over the summer to their highest level in more than four years, while the number of troubled banks fell for the second straight quarter, federal regulators reported Tuesday.

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. said the banking industry earned $35.3 billion in the third quarter. That's up from $23.8 billion in the same period last year. More than 60% of banks reported improved earnings.

The FDIC also says there were 844 banks on its confidential "problem" list in the quarter, or roughly 11.5% of all federally insured banks. That was down from 865 the April-June period, the first quarter in five years in which the number declined.

Banks with assets exceeding $10 billion drove the bulk of the earnings growth. They made up 1.4% of all banks but accounted for about $29.8 billion of the industry's earnings in the third quarter.

Student loan debt hits record levels

Students and workers seeking retraining are borrowing extraordinary amounts of money through federal loan programs, potentially putting a huge burden on the backs of young people looking for jobs and trying to start careers.

The amount of student loans taken out last year crossed the $100 billion mark for the first time and total loans outstanding will exceed $1 trillion for the first time this year. Americans now owe more on student loans than on credit cards, reports the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Students are borrowing twice what they did a decade ago after adjusting for inflation, the College Board reports. Total outstanding debt has doubled in the last five years — a sharp contrast to consumers reducing what's owed on home loans and credit cards.

How to Refinance A Bad Credit Home Loan

Are you currently in the middle of a bad credit mortgage loan with a high interest rate?  If yes, then you are not alone.  Many people are struggling with their monthly home loan payments because of the high interest rates.  Perhaps you may have acquired your mortgage loan at the time when you still have bad credit or a poor credit score.  Since loan rates are given based upon the borrowers’ credit rating, you are more likely to pay more on your monthly loan payments if you have a low credit score.

Have you thought about refinancing your bad credit home loan?  Home loan refinancing can enable you to enjoy a lower interest rate and reduce your monthly loan payments so repayment does not need to be a burden.  Even if you have not yet reached a high score of 700, you can consider home loan refinancing if you have been able to improve your credit score through timely submission of your loan payments.  If you want to refinance, consider the following tips on how to find a good mortgage refinancing deal:
    • Compare deals.
    • Calculate your savings.
    • Check your credit report.
    • Restructure your loan.

John Ciccarelli: Congress must pass incentives to bring manufacturing jobs back to United States

    "Uncle Sam Wants (Needs) You."

For those of you who remember this famous poster from World War II this has never been more important. Only this time we need to enlist in a war against foreign imports and to increase demand for manufacturing in the United States.

Our Congress, in some kind of misguided attempt to stimulate business, has given corporations tax breaks for manufacturing in other countries. A bill proposed in the Senate this year to eliminate this credit and bring back jobs failed to garner the necessary votes for passage. I would imagine that this was because Congress was too busy trying to decide which type of light bulb we would use or what to name a post office in Illinois, or if it would be a good idea to destroy the good faith and credit of the United States to formulate a jobs bill that would stimulate domestic manufacturing.

Bad credit is not really a hindrance if you want to acquire a home equity loan or a home equity line of credit.  Unlike other types of loans, it is much easier to acquire a home equity loan even with bad credit since the repayment of the loan is a guaranteed by the provision of collateral.  In this article, let’s discuss some pointers for you to remember when applying for a bad credit home equity loan.

    Know What to Expect

Lending companies offer their best deals to customers with exemplary credit history and credit score.  Obviously, customers with imperfect credit history or poor credit score will have limited options.  Lenders who offer loans to bad credit borrowers generally charge higher interest rates to make up for the risk.  But this does not mean you should settle with an unfair deal.
